Product reviews

Today I would like to review three products that I currently own and have used quite extensively thus far.

1. Embark Elite Jartop Backpack - Ebony

I have had this backpack for half-a year now and it has served me well through out that time. It is a comfortable, decently sturdy build; something very useful for carrying around heavy books all day long. This backpack has very roomy compartments, allowing for many folders, books, and other items to be stored with ease. The front compartment is perfect for storing small items as it has pen/pencil holders and enough room to fit a calculator in. The texture of the backpack is sleek and the design is reasonably fashionable. Another good thing about the backpack is the wide shoulder straps. Even when you have a lot of things in your backpack that can weigh you down, the straps never dig into your shoulders and remain quite comfortable. The backpack has a reinforced base as well, preventing the fabric from tearing due to weight. The interior of the bag makes it very easy to organize your items. The zippers are bigger than on most other backpacks, which work well to prevent any malfunctions over long periods of use.

One of the bad things about this product is the shoulder adjustment straps. I find that over time the shoulder straps loosen, giving an inconsistent and continuously effective performance. It can be quite difficult to adjust them again, leading to unequal distribution of weight on your shoulders and thus lead to potential discomfort. Another negative thing about this product is the fabric. I have already noticed a tear in the backpack that grows larger over the time it's used. This issue will lead to the backpack eventually breaking at this location and greatly reducing the backpack's usability.

All in all, I would recommend this product to any student looking for a useful backpack for school. It can carry a great deal and prevents discomfort in most cases due to its design. However, I do not recommend this backpack for hikers or campers or anyone looking for a heavy-duty backpack as it is simply not high-quality enough. The material can wear down and tear quickly when subjected to extreme stress and thus cause complications.

2. Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini: Easy to use, portable, sleek. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is a great all-around phone that will give reliable performance when needed most. I have had this phone for around half a year now and have found it to posses many good qualities and some bad qualities. To start, this phone is very easy to carry. It is not clunky and can fit in the users hand or pocket with ease. The phone's touch screen is very responsive and makes it very easy to navigate the home page of the phone when in use. the power button and volume buttons - located to the sides of the phone - are very simple and allow for easy adjustment of music, video, and phone ringtone volume, and to turn the phone off or on immediately without delay. navigating emails, messages, music, videos, and the internet is incredibly easy and all actions can be done in seconds. The video quality is good, allowing for effective video viewing almost all the time. Another good feature is the two buttons that are beside the home button. The back button allows you to quickly exit out of videos, messages, and return to older pages on the internet. The menu button allows one to quickly access the phone's menu to change settings such as ringtone, phone volume, brightness, and more.

One of the bad things about this phone is the battery life is very small. At best, this phone can last three and a half hours while in continuous use and around nine-to-ten hours when in sleep mode. Another issue is that when one tries to exit an application through the home button, it can potentially register this action as a double-press and takes you to the artificial help, rather then taking the user back to the main menu. While the phone is sleek, it is also fragile. If the phone is dropped on to a hard surface, it will more than likely break or cause severe damage to the device, making it highly recommended to equip a phone case on the phone for additional protection.

In short, this product is very suitable for people who want a quick, reliable phone that can also do things such as stream videos and access the internet. This is a product I would not recommend to someone who is looking for a phone that is flawless and has a long-lasting battery.

3. Apple Inc. iPad Mini: The iPad Mini from Apple Inc. is an easy to use and reliable piece of technology. I have had and used an iPad Mini for one year and have genuinely enjoyed it; although there are some drawbacks. It can run many useful apps such as digital newspapers, calculators, navigation, and more. It is also a very capable gaming tool. With access to the App Store, the user can download and play thousands of games; some for a price, others not. This device will allow the user to quickly access and enjoy a myriad of things while at home or on the go. The device has excellent video quality and is very convenient for watching a t.v. show or a movie. The battery life is also quite good as it can last for nine-ten hours when in heavy use and runs all applications without issue.

An issue with this product is the camera. It has been witnessed that images captured by the camera are either to fuzzy or just aren't as clear as semi-decent camera. In other words, the camera is sub-par. It is also noticeable that the touch-screen is not sensitive enough at times and that the user can sometimes struggle to input a password or type something properly the first time.

Given the details, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a convenient device that is very affordable. It is reliable and quite powerful and is not likely to disappoint. If you are looking for a device suitable for academic studies or something that can be used extensively for work, then this is definitely not the product for you.  Displaying 20151114_150834.jpg
